Storytelling has been an integral part of human culture since ancient times. It is a universal and traditional art form that has featured strongly in all cultures from time immemorial as an effective communication tool. It is often used as a medium to ingrain values, improve reading skills and open the minds of children to worlds beyond imagination. A good storyteller captivates audiences with his/her power to entertain, inspire and provoke emotions. Behind every memorable storytelling lies a carefully crafted combination of essential elements of creativity, good poise, stage presence, voice modulation, enunciation and expression. Story telling competition was conducted for PP3 to Grade 5, level wise. Finalists were shortlisted with a rigorous prefinal round.
